As a federal jury deliberates the fate of Vice President Dick Cheney’s former chief of staff I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, several watchers agree that if the jury decides Libby knew he was lying to investigators, it could spur investigators to explore further whether Cheney was involved in conspiring to obstruct justice.

The Rev. Ted Haggard emerged from three weeks of intensive counseling convinced he is “completely heterosexual” and told an oversight board that his sexual contact with men was limited to his accuser. Much attention at the end of last week on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report which predicted dire consequences of heat waves, cyclones, droughts and rising seas if the world failed to act quickly.

So then we get reports that the Exxon Mobil funded think tank the American Enterprise Institute was bribing scientists to say it isn’t so. The news report is from The Guardian.

On top of that, we also get have the news
of President Bush signing an order appointing an apparatchik flunkey
into every agency to ensure it toes the official line. Business groups
have welcomed the directive but environmentalists have attacked it,
saying it gives the White House too much control.

It seems there has been a recent interest in associating climate change/global warming with “over population” and that countries such as China and India have to do more to help contain global warming.

The president has been convicted of violating the law, yet nothing is being done. Meanwhile, many suspect Bush
is planning to invade Iran, another obvious violation of the consitution. How can we get Congress to impeach an
administration (they can all be impeached) so patently dismissive of the people’s will?
